Silvia Menia
Silvia Menia is a premium Egyptian natural stone, geologically classified as a dense sedimentary limestone but commercially traded globally as a beige marble. It is extracted from abundance in the quarries of the El-Minya Governorate in Upper Egypt. It is highly popular for its distinct wood-like, straight linear veining and warm color palette
Geochemical & Structural Composition
- Base Material: Primarily composed of recrystallized calcium carbonate (\(CaCO_{3}\)) derived from ancient sedimentary limestone subjected to intense geological pressure.
- Color Profile: Features a warm beige-to-creamy background base.
- Veining & Inclusions: Layered with horizontal, straight linear veining that ranges in tone from golden-beige and dark brown to subtle grey. It features organic fossil inclusions throughout its matrix.
The “Vein Cut” Difference: Silvia Menia comes from the exact same quarry blocks as “Sunny Menia”. When the block is cross-cut, it produces a cloudy pattern sold as Sunny Menia. When it is vein-cut (sliced parallel to the natural bedding planes), it creates the straight, premium travertine-like lines that define Silvia Menia.
